Board Member
LaTronda Artis is a dedicated advocate for veterans and military families, bringing a powerful blend of public service, psychological insight, and lived experience to her role as a board member at Hearts2Heal. As a dedicated advocate for the veteran community, she champions the needs of justice-involved veterans by helping them access critical resources and support services, including VA disability benefits, mental health care, housing stability, and successful community reintegration. Through her work, she empowers veterans to overcome barriers, improve their quality of life, and build pathways toward long-term stability and success and reduce recidivism.
With a deep commitment to mentorship and professional development, LaTronda serves as an adjunct faculty member for the department of psychology at Huston-Tillotson University and Austin Community College. She works closely with psychology students, equipping them to serve future clients through a heart-centered, trauma-informed approach to care.
Her outstanding contributions have earned her recognition as Philanthropy Woman of the Year by Texas Women in Business and the Service to Veterans Award, presented by Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Beyond her professional accolades, LaTronda is a sought-after healing and empowerment speaker known for her authentic, honest, trauma-informed approach to topics such as grief, identity rebuilding, and turning pain into purpose. Her own experience navigating grief through the end of a 21-year marriage has shaped her personal journey and inspired her to write her signature book, “The Grief No One Talks About: When Relationships End”. The book addresses vulnerability, faith, and self-discovery, offering comfort, clarity, validation, and hope.
