Courtney Schmidt

Courtney is a dedicated counseling intern with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in English from Texas Tech University. With 14 years of teaching experience focused on working with adolescents from diverse backgrounds, Courtney is currently pursuing her studies at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling, set to graduate in December of 2025.

Embodying a unique blend of empathy and organizational prowess, Courtney’s approach is centered around guiding clients effectively towards their goals through proactive problem-solving and deep client engagement. Known for her exceptional ability to foster strong connections and deliver impactful guidance, Courtney ensures that everyone she works with feels genuinely heard and valued. Her expertise in communication, problem-solving, and a people-centric approach consistently leads to positive outcomes for her clients.

Drawing from personal experiences of grief, loss, and adversity, including the passing of her husband to cancer in 2013, a divorce in 2024, and her mother’s battle with dementia, Courtney brings a profound level of empathy and understanding to her counseling practice, helping clients navigate their unique challenges with compassion and resilience.
